A Question of Sales and Trade Fair

Opportunity to show your wares

The Trade Fair was so successful last February that we have decided to repeat this again. We have the opportunity for 15 businesses to have a table and exhibit at a very low cost of £20 – this fee will cover the cost of the meeting only and each of these businesses will be sponsors of the event – in this way, we can continue to keep membership and attendance of the meeting free.

Exhibitor spots will be allocated on a first come first served basis and remember there are only 15 so to reserve your spot please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

A Question of Sales

We all know how tough it is out there at the moment and with the ongoing withdrawal of business support, the network has looked at what it can do for its members in this climate over and above the traditional and typical “networking” type events. As a group, we have a huge amount of expertise and knowledge and believe that we should capitalise on this for the benefit of all.

To kick off and test out this theme, three of our committee members have agreed to donate their experience in sales and act as a “panel of experts” on all things sales related. How you sell your wares is different for each business and we think that each of our panel members will bring something different to the table.

So what’s holding you back in sales? What problems do you have time and again with customers new and old? Come armed with all of your questions/issues and we will put these to our panel:

Peter Simmons of Border Vehicle Contracts

  • A career business to business salesperson with 30+ years experience on generating new business from “cold” with clients ranging from the smallest SME to multinationals in the hospitality/travel industries.

Carole Clayton of Rural Meeting Place

  • Carole has a broad range of sales experience ranging from party plan, door to door, telephone sales, and face to face. She has worked for SMEs and multinationals in product sales and the advertising industry.

Michaela Hardwick of Beyond Expectation

  • A business coach with a diverse history of working in door to door sales, telesales and face to face in a variety of industries from vehicle contract hire to insurance and legal services.

These members are giving their time voluntarily as part of their own way of sponsoring the meeting and giving something back.

We will also be filming this “in front of a live audience” – you know we like to do things differently at Craven Arms Biz!
